Q. I am interested, but how do I know which session to register for?

Current Grade 9 students
→ Book the 101 Workshop
Current Grade 10 students
→ If new to Ontario High School Guidance, start with the 101 Workshop
→ If the 101 has already been completed, book a 201 session for career coaching
Current Grade 11 students
→ Book a 201 session if new to Ontario High School Guidance and seeking career coaching
→ Book a 301 session if you are a returning Ontario High School Guidance client, or know the path you want to explore
Current Grade 12 students
→ Book a 201 session if still unsure about post-secondary pathways
→ Book a 401 session if ready to plan next steps

Assistance with high school course selection for the following grade is included in the 101 and 301 sessions.

Q. When are sessions offered?

• 101 High School Workshop – Offered year-round.  For timely help with course selection book in – December, January, February
• 201 Next Steps Workshop – Offered year-round 
• 301 Grade 11 Workshops – Offered year round.  For timely help with course selection book in – October, November, December, January
• 401 – Time to Apply Series – August – December.  NOTE:  Students applying to college are encouraged to apply by November 1, so book your session early!

Q. My high school student has NO CLUE about what they want to do after high school. Can you help?

Yes, I can. I encourage you to join the NEXT STEPS series which offers career coaching to help the student focus on who they want to be.

Q. What is the best way to utilize my 60-minute 1-on-1 session?

Once registered, you’ll receive a questionnaire. Complete and return it to Robbyn a couple of days prior to your scheduled appointment to allow for the best possible preparation.
Why prep matters:
 Advance preparation allows our live time together to focus on meaningful discussion, informed options, and confident decision-making—rather than spending the session gathering background information.

Q. Can I book a session with my friends?

If you and your friends are like-minded and have similar post-secondary interests, I would encourage you to book a small group session. Each student will complete the questionnaire prior to the session, and we will work collaboratively throughout it.

Q. My student is a member of a Youth Group/Sports Team/Club and a number of parents are interested in joining a session. What are our options?

You could join up for an online session together as one group. I would ask that one parent be my contact person to share information. Alternatively, if you are within reasonable driving distance, I could come to the youth group/team/club and do an in-person session with the group.

Q. Why should I sign up for the 101 Session when my student is only in Grade 9?

Because proactive high school planning starts in grade 9! You do not want to wait until later grades to provide the opportunity for your teen to ‘make the most’ out of their four years at high school.  Gr 9 student and parents benefit most from a small group session.  Grab a couple of friends and book together!  Cost is $25 per family.

Foundational Sessions – $75
Applies to: 101 High School Session, 201 Next Steps Session
Includes:

* Light personalization during the session
These sessions are ideal for early planning, exploration, and gaining clarity using guided tools.

Personalized Planning Sessions – $90
Applies to: 301 Session, 401 Session
Includes: 
* 60-minute 1:1 virtual TEAMS appointment
* Pre-appointment review and preparation
* Personalized guidance tailored to your student’s goals and situation
* A customized Google Doc shared after the session
* Follow-up email support for clarifying questions
These sessions are best suited for course selection, pathway decisions, and higher-stakes planning.
